Sheila Masson

Sheila Masson, MLitt (History of Photography, University of St Andrews, 2013) is a photographer, photo historian, curator and picture editor, and has worked for numerous commercial picture agencies in the USA and the UK. Now based in Edinburgh, her own photographs have been published in numerous books, newspapers and magazines, including America 24-7, Life: The Year in Pictures, Vanity Fair, The Times, The Guardian and The Independent.

Alongside her own photography, Sheila also specialises in the research of 19th century British tintypes, curating a 2015 exhibition in Edinburgh entitled Victorian Britain & the Tintype Photograph as part of both the Retina Scottish International Photography Festival and the ACTINIC Photography Festival.
